Electromagnetic valves are widely used fluid control components in industrial automation control systems, and their performance directly affects the stability and efficiency of the system. However, during long-term use, the solenoid valve may experience some common malfunctions. Understanding the causes and solutions of these faults is crucial for maintaining the normal operation of solenoid valves.
1. The solenoid valve does not work
1. Fault manifestation: After energizing the solenoid valve, the valve does not move and the medium cannot pass through the solenoid valve.
2. Fault cause: It may be a problem with the power wiring, such as looseness, open circuit, or poor contact; Abnormal power supply voltage, exceeding the rated voltage range of the solenoid valve; The solenoid valve coil is damaged, such as short circuit or open circuit; The valve core is stuck by impurities and cannot move normally; Abnormal fluid pressure exceeds the working pressure range of the solenoid valve, causing the valve to fail to open.
3. Solution: Check the power wiring to ensure a secure connection, use a multimeter to measure if the circuit is conductive, and repair the broken part; Measure the power supply voltage and confirm that it is within the allowable fluctuation range of the rated voltage of the solenoid valve. If the voltage does not match, adjust the power supply or replace the appropriate solenoid valve; Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the coil. If the resistance value is abnormal (usually with a large deviation from the standard value), the coil needs to be replaced; Disassemble the solenoid valve, clean the impurities in the valve core and valve body, check whether the valve core is worn, and replace the valve core if necessary; Check the fluid pressure to meet the working pressure requirements of the solenoid valve, which can be adjusted by installing a pressure regulating device.
2. Leakage inside the solenoid valve
1. Fault manifestation: When the solenoid valve is closed, there is still a small amount of medium leaking between the valve disc and the valve seat.
2. Cause of malfunction: Aging, wear or damage of seals (such as sealing rings, gaskets); There are impurities, scratches or wear on the surface of the valve seat, resulting in poor sealing; The clearance between the valve core and valve seat is too large.
3. Solution: Replace aging or damaged seals and choose sealing materials that are reliable in quality, suitable for the medium and working conditions; Clean the impurities on the surface of the valve seat. For minor scratches or wear, grinding repair can be carried out. In severe cases, the valve seat needs to be replaced; Check the fit between the valve core and valve seat. If there is excessive clearance, grind or replace the valve core and valve seat to ensure good sealing performance.
3. Leakage outside the solenoid valve
1. Fault manifestation: There is a medium leakage phenomenon in the valve body, interface and other parts of the solenoid valve.
2. Cause of malfunction: Loose bolts at the connection point; Damaged sealing gasket; The valve body has defects such as sand holes and cracks.
3. Solution: Use appropriate tools and tighten the connecting bolts to the specified torque to ensure a secure connection; Replace damaged sealing gaskets and select gaskets of appropriate specifications and materials; For minor sand holes or cracks, repair welding or sealant can be used. If the defect is severe, the valve body needs to be replaced.
4. The electromagnetic valve has a loud noise
1. Fault manifestation: The solenoid valve emits abnormal noise or vibration during operation.
2. Fault cause: The working frequency of the solenoid valve is close to the natural frequency of the system, causing resonance; The fluid contains air or impurities, which can cause impact when the valve operates; Improper installation of solenoid valves, such as unstable installation or non parallel connection with pipelines; The gap between the valve core and the valve seat is too large or too small.
3. Solution: Adjust the operating frequency of the solenoid valve to avoid the natural frequency of the system, or install a damping device between the solenoid valve and the pipeline; Exhaust and filter fluids to remove air and impurities; Reinstall the solenoid valve to ensure a secure installation, parallel and concentric with the pipeline connection; Check the gap between the valve core and valve seat, make appropriate adjustments or replace components to ensure that the gap meets the requirements.
5. The solenoid valve operates slowly
1. Fault manifestation: The opening or closing action of the solenoid valve is slow, and the response time is too long.
2. Reason for malfunction: The high viscosity of the fluid increases the resistance to the movement of the valve core; The aperture of the solenoid valve is too small, resulting in insufficient fluid flow; Insufficient spring elasticity, unable to push the valve core to move quickly; Insufficient electromagnetic force may be due to coil aging or low voltage.
3. Solution: Choose an electromagnetic valve suitable for high viscosity fluids, or heat and dilute the fluid to reduce viscosity; Replace the solenoid valve with a larger aperture according to the actual flow demand; Check the spring elasticity and replace the spring with insufficient elasticity; Check the coil and power supply voltage. If the coil is aging, replace it. If the voltage is too low, adjust the power supply voltage to the rated value.
When troubleshooting and repairing solenoid valves, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating procedures to ensure personal safety and normal equipment operation. If you are unable to solve the problem on your own, it is recommended to contact professional technicians in a timely manner
